The change will be effective the first of the following month.

We recommend against changing PCPs if one or more of the following circumstances exist:

  • The change could have an adverse effect on the quality of your healthcare.
  • If you are an organ transplant candidate.
  • If you have an unstable, acute medical condition for which you are receiving active medical care.
  • If you are in your third trimester of your pregnancy.


You will receive your healthcare services, or have them arranged, by your Primary Care Physician (PCP). Our PCPs include physicians trained in family practice, internal medicine, and pediatrics. When you joined GlobalHealth, you and your family members either chose a PCP, or were assigned a PCP if one was not selected during enrollment.

GlobalHealth believes the relationship between patient and physician is very important. It develops over time, as trust and familiarity grow. You PCP will manage all of your healthcare needs to see that you receive a treatment plan that's best for you. Your PCP is responsible for all of your treatment, including referrals to specialists.
