A: Prediabetes is defined as having blood glucose (sugar) levels that are higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. Prediabetes can lead to heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. Unlike diabetes, prediabetes can often be reversed.

Prediabetes Risk Questionnaire
A: A Diabetes Prevention Program is a structured, lifestyle change program developed specifically to prevent type 2 diabetes. This is a yearlong program that is focused on long-term changes and lasting results.
A: A Diabetes Prevention Program takes place over 12 months split into two 6-month periods. During the first 6 months of the program, you typically meet once a week. During the second 6 months, you will meet once or twice a month.
